INTENSIVE PHYSICAL THERAPY SESSIONS

FOR CHILDREN WITH NEUROMUSCULAR DISORDER

What is it?

One-on-one PT sessions aimed at targeting specific goals to improve a variety of areas of function.

Sessions are typically 2 hours per day, 5 days per week for 3 weeks.

Children should be 3 years or older.

When?

Any time! Each family can prioritize when it works best for them to make a 3-week commitment.

How is it paid for?

Insurance companies will be billed for PT services. The family may be responsible for out-of-pocket costs including co-pays and deductibles.

MOST IMPORTANTLY - Why?

Research is showing us that we can treat children with cerebral palsy and other neuromotor conditions better!

A standard outpatient protocol is treating a child once a week for 45-60 minutes. This intensity is not enough to make gains in motor learning, strength, balance or coordination.

When we treat kids with an “episode of care," we maximize gains in all of these areas. This means that we can see real change – even with our older kids with neurological damage.
